Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Qero.cc: short links, QR codes, privacy tags, cards and business accounts.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Qero.cc is run by Sinisa Strosar (see our Imprint for full details). By creating an account or using Qero.cc you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
- Short links and QR codes that you can create, style, redirect and (where available) analyse.
- Privacy tags: physical tags whose page lets a finder contact you, while your details stay hidden until you choose to show them.
- Cards and other account features, where available.
- Business accounts on the Qero business portal (section 8).
Some features, limits or reserved paths may depend on your account or plan.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission. Give accurate information and keep your password and any one-time codes private. You are responsible for activity under your account, so tell us promptly if you think it has been misused. You can sign in with email and password, or with Google where offered.
5. Ordering physical tags
Physical tags are sold and shipped by Shape and Shine Studio through its shop. Price, delivery, cancellation and returns for an order are set out there. Nothing in these terms limits any statutory right you have as a consumer, including the right to goods that are as described and of satisfactory quality, and the right to cancel most distance purchases within 14 days of delivery. Tags arrive unclaimed: scan to claim yours in your account.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Qero.cc for:
- phishing, fraud, scams or impersonation;
- malware or harmful payloads;
- illegal content or any unlawful activity;
- spam or abusive bulk use;
- attempts to interfere with the security or stability of the service, or to access other people's accounts.
To report a link, QR code or tag page that breaks these rules, email [email protected] with the link and a short explanation. We will review it and may disable it.
7. Your content
You are responsible for the links, destinations, routing rules, text, contact details and anything else you add. You keep ownership of it. You give us permission to store and display it as needed to run the service for you.
8. Business accounts
Business accounts use the Qero business portal at b2b.qero.cc and are separate from personal accounts. Business accounts may need approval before use. Orders can carry a purchase-order number, and optional discount plans may be offered. If we agree specific terms with a business in writing, those terms apply to that business in addition to these terms.
9. Paid plans and billing
Paid features, if offered, are billed through Stripe. Before you pay we will show the price, how often you are charged, and how to cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account or billing page. Statutory consumer rights, including any right to cancel, are not affected.
10. Limits and reserved paths
Certain short-link paths and slugs are reserved. Some features or usage limits may apply to particular accounts or plans.
11. Suspension and closing accounts
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or close an account, or disable a link or tag page, if you break these terms, if it puts the service or other people at risk, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable we will tell you why.
12. Changes to the service
We may improve, change or retire parts of Qero.cc. If a change would significantly reduce what you have paid for, we will give you reasonable notice, and you may be entitled to end the contract and a refund for the unused period. We aim for a reliable service but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
13. Intellectual property
The Qero name, logo, software, design and other materials belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights in them beyond using the service.
14. Our responsibility to you
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breach. For business accounts, we are also not liable for lost profit, lost business or indirect loss, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
Qero is a tool for contacting the owner of a tag. We are not responsible for lost, damaged or unreturned items.
15. Business users: indemnity
If you use Qero for a business, you agree to cover reasonable losses we suffer because of content you added that breaks the law or these terms. This section does not apply to consumers.
16. Third-party services and links
Short links and QR codes can point to websites we do not control, and payments are handled by Stripe. We are not responsible for those third parties' content or practices.
17. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in your account at least 30 days before the change takes effect, except where a change is required sooner by law. If you do not agree, you can close your account before then.
18. Complaints and governing law
Please contact us first if something goes wrong and we will try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the mandatory protections of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country as well as Ireland. For business users, the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction.
